Cardanol (Card - Phenol)

Card - Phenol popularly known as Cardanol is the active constituent of Cashew Nut Shell Liquid and is a monohydroxy phenol having a long hydrocarbon chain (C15H27) in a Meta position. It is manufactured from CNSL by a special process and serves as an excellent raw material for the preparation of high grade insulating varnishes, paints, enamels, Oil & Alcohol soluble resins, laminating resins, rubber compounding etc., by the conventional methods or directly by the insitu processes.
